Adam Rothberg

Adam is a founding partner of Rothberg and Steiner Real Estate, formally, F&R Properties, LLC.

Adam began his real estate career in 1996 by brokering a mining claim purchase. He then pushed the property through an arduous 1041 hazard review and a year later the property was valued at five times the purchase price.

“It was exhilarating to finally win the approval.” Adam said thinking back, and ever since that point, he has been sculpting and creating deals in the forefront of local real estate.

Adam was among the very first Realtors to utilize the newly written CIOA (condominium interest ownership act) to perform a land condominiumization in order to obtain financing on a duplex property for his client.

Adam later became aware that to best serve his clients, he needed to become an expert in property valuation, a short while later took all the appraisal classes in order to test for a registered appraiser. He then took his thirst for knowledge in another direction by passing his general contractor’s test and building his own house from the foundation up.

By combining a thorough understanding of land use and building knowledge, Adam began looking for “sleeper” properties. He found them. Here’s what Klaus Obermeyer Jr. had to say, “Adam has been brilliant, he’s the one who finds the real gems” While pursuing his quest for great properties, Adam found and orchestrated a land exchange for the betterment of our whole community.

By working closely with the National Forest Service, Pitkin County Open Space, the Aspen Valley Land Trust, and a private party, Adam has been instrumental in preserving one of the county’s most valuable open space treasures.
